Let’s get this residential show on the road with The Next condos’ DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT!
In just 13 short years, the Ornsirin family affair has gone from turnin’ out furniture to crafting one of Chiang Mai’s fanciest and award-winning habitats, The Astra! Now among the leading local real estate players with detached housing developments, townhomes and commercial squares to boot, November 2012 was a landmark point for their North Home Property subsidiary as they launched their first ever condominium project in the Northern capital, The Next.
Flaunting modern architecture, seven-storey stature and a strikingly similar outward appearance, The Next 1’s trio of 1st, 2nd and 3rd condo buildings with 201 units between ‘em, the twin 1st and 2nd condo buildings of both The Next 2 with 134 units and The Next 3 with 117 units were all habitable in April ‘15; followed by Ornsirin’s most recent in the series and initially touted as The Next 4, the lone condo building of The Next Premier with just 45 units.
Discover The Next condos’ undisturbed WHEREABOUTS & straightforward access into town!
Billed as ‘the location of today and tomorrow’, all except The Next 2 condo lie off the south-east corner of Ruamchok Meechai Intersection but sat well back from the surrounding Chiang Mai-Phrao and Inner Ring Roads. To be more specific, The Next 1 condo and The Next Premier alongside stand on five rai (0.8 hectares) amid the multi-shophouse complex of the Ornsirin Business Centre Ruamchok; whilst The Next 3 condo occupies two rai of land on a little soi [lane]150m or so to the south-west.
Ideal for digital nomads lookin’ to ‘crush it’ online, just 10 minutes walk away and open 24 hours a day, every day is the co-working outfit, Code Space. In half the time, the bumper Tesco Lotus Ruamchoke hypermarket with its budget-priced groceries plus no less economically amenable non-edibles from wearables and games to electrical appliances. Opposite, the sparsely trafficked Meechok Plaza for Rimping Supermarket’s premium calibre of weekly and imported foodstuffs, nearby cosmopolitan restaurants like the English style fish ‘n’ chip-servin’ Kelly’s Bistro and out front on Mondays and Tuesdays, a fantastic night market. Right beside is Ruamchok Mall and though no more are its namesake supermarket and Alpina food court, in the works to take their place are a new drive-through Starbucks and Tops Market! Very much still there is the daily Ruamchok wet market cheek by jowl with a run of mom-and-pop stores offerin’ everything from freshly prepared cheap Thai eats to seemingly every kind of household good on the planet! And to make for the city, simply hit the southbound carriageway of Highway 1001 and in scarcely more than one klick where it joins the Super Highway at Fa Ham (Mae Jo) junction, take a left to reach CentralFestival in 60 seconds flat or instead hang a right for literally five minutes to get to Maya Lifestyle Shopping Centre and the eternally hip Nimmanhaemin Road!
The Next 2, on the other hand, is set on a two rai plot off the ‘old’ San Kamphaeng Road [Highway 1006] mere strides from Nhongphateep Intersection. Handily positioned at the head of the dead-end approach to the condo is a branch of one of the country’s most beloved coffee shop chains, Doi Chaang. Better yet, not one but two of Thailand Tatler’s latest pick of Chiang Mai’s best fine dining spots in under a quarter of an hour on foot! Namely, the Italian trattoria of Allegro at the luxury Lanna Kingdom-esque Dhara Dhevi Resort and, right across the way, gourmet Japanese air flown from the Land of the Rising Sun at the courtyarded Tengoku De Cuisine.
For everyday provisions, residents need only hoof it the handful of minutes to Makro Cash & Carry or otherwise motor down the Chiang Mai-Lampang Road, passing the Scandinavian flavoured and ambienced Norden resto, to Big C Supercentre Don Chan. Then onward a stone’s throw for Promenada Mall. Whereas a 20 minute scoot west along Charoen Mueang and Tha Phae Roads, via the train station and San Pa Khoi day market, to the eastern gate of the ‘Old City’. Or for a trifling 15 baht a pop, board the B1 white city bus which carries on to Chiang Mai Zoo then back again!
Keep goin’ for the fully featured & well kept AMENITIES at The Next condos!
Over and above being physically segregated from its neighbour, every one of The Next’s eight condominium buildings affords round-the-clock security guarded entry, barricade or barrier gate, closed-circuit camera surveillance and electronic keycard-controlled admission (with added digital door locks at The Next Premier); not forgetting street level, mostly uncovered private parking and a single lift [elevator].
And for each of The Next 1, 2, 3 and Premier, a nicely done common lobby rigged with freely available WiFi internet and a reception desk serviced by the on-site juristic person; also starring on the ground floor of The Next 1, 2 and 3, clubhouse facilities with indoor fitness studio, outdoor swimming pool and at The Next 1, a fan-cooled waterside lounge, minimart and Next Café.
Wantin’ to get wind of the TYPES, LAYOUT & SPEC OF UNITS at The Next condos?
At The Next 1, 2 and 3, condo units are sized either as Standard (32 sq m and upwards of useable space with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 balcony) or Suite (no less than 60 sq m with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a duo of attached terraces). Compared with The Next Premier condo which boasts 1 bed, 1 bath, 1 balcony units ranging from 32 to 50 sq m; 2 bed, 2 bath with an extra wide balcony weighing in at 72 sq m; and 3 bed, 2 bath, double balconied units of 102 sq m.
Bar the 3 bedroom pads at The Next Premier which come with a combined living/dining area and separate kitchen, the rest of The Next’s condo units are optimally arranged with open-plan living/dining/kitchenette. Using a good quality of materials at least, all of the original units at The Next condos are supplied furnished, equipped and air-conditioned in full. Interiors sport a smart contemporary look and stepped up at The Next Premier with its more boutique chic appointment.
