What speed is the internet? Can you believe this is the main questions we get asked when people are inquiring about properties in Chiang Mai. It does not matter if it is for a long term rental or a short term rental now one can live without the internet in Chiang Mai any more.
Chiang Mai now has a great communications system in place and we often hear people talking about the fact they can get faster internet here in Chiang Mai than back in their home towns.
There are many providers here and many offer fibre optic cabling to properties though this is often not necessary. As normal lines can offer high speeds already often around 12-20Mb. Fibre can offer up to 50mb here in Chiang Mai.
So that being said most houses and condos can get great internet and all the properties below are internet ready. You will still more have to apply for your own connection. This gives you the opportunity to chose the speed that best suits your requirements.
