With a ‘Family’ history tracing back to 1984 and deservedly branded as among Thailand’s most esteemed real estate groups, the award-winning and fully integrated Sansiri are renowned for lovingly crafting top-quality, functionally designed, classily presented, innovatively appointed and properly managed urban homes. Already proud parents to their first of kin, dcondo campus resort as well as d’VIENG Santitham, dcondo sign and the youngest of their local brood, dcondo nim, Sansiri have just announced that they are once again expecting another residential bundle of joy! Their new condominium project in Chiang Mai, dcondo ping portrays a co-ordination of contemporary design style inspired by the “cultural elements and lifestyle along the Ping River” with vernacular architecture reflecting an old-fashioned Lanna [Northern Thai] aesthetic.
Set to occupy the 12 rai (1.92 hectares) plot of prime land adjoining dcondo nim tucked away at the end of a private access road, dcondo ping will likewise offer welcome insulation from the surrounding hullabaloo yet benefit from doorstep access, via the gated ‘d-walkway’ for use exclusively by dcondo occupants, to the most sizeable shopping complex in the region, CentralFestival; laying claim to more than 300 stores not least Central Food Hall (publicised as the finest supermarket in all of Asia) in addition to several food courts, a weekly night market, an international class multiplex cinema with IMAX 3D/4DX, an ice-skating rink and, a delightful bonus for those without their own set of wheels, a fleet of complimentary songthaew and minivans which ply a number of routes daily from the ultra-modern mall to assorted destinations throughout the popularly hip Nimman neighbourhood, the perennially enchanting ‘Old City’, Chiang Mai Airport and the ever vibrant Night Bazaar. For public transport elsewhere within the city as well as beyond, the upcoming condo will be strategically positioned just a short walk from Chiang Mai’s Provincial Arcade bus station from where various modes of conveyance are available for journeys locally, nationwide and even outside of Thailand. Or else avail of the nearby Chiang Mai Business Park (CBP), a bustling self-contained enclave of recreational and commercial interests like DIY store HomePro, furniture retailer Index Living Mall, the soon-to-launch Platinum Fashion Mall and, stocking a vast selection of fresh and frozen foodstuffs, beverages, personal care products, clothing, electrical appliances and electronic devices, the city’s largest and easily most budget-friendly hypermarket, Big C Extra. By virtue of dcondo ping’s immediacy to the multi-lane Super Highway, residents will have fast, direct passage to Chiang Mai’s newest and go-to medical hub, Bangkok Hospital and, scarcely any less reachable, a branch of Siam Makro carrying an almost limitless choice of groceries and household goods at wholesale prices.
Providing complete peace of mind for those staying at dcondo ping, a small army of uniformed professional security guards will be stationed 24/7 at the barriered main entrance to the premises complemented by closed-circuit TV cameras surveilling all common areas of the facility and an electronic keycard system to control admission only to pre-authorised individuals; as extra safeguards, an on-site juristic office will be attended at least five (most likely seven) days a week and, we presume from those present at both dcondo sign and nim, ‘Floor-Lock’ lifts (elevators) together with digital door locks will be installed. Besides the development featuring a designated parking capacity enough for 240 cars, a series of bright, airy, high-ceilinged communal lobbies will exist on the first floor which, if the simulated footage released by Sansiri in the last few days is anything to go by, will look simply stunning and an environment conducive to either work or play. Outside, a dazzling showpiece 100m long saltwater swimming pool modelled on Chiang Mai’s meandering Mae Ping River and, elevated over the water at the midway mark, a glass-panelled wrap-around gym. Edged by a cross-country jogging track, the expansive landscaped tropical gardens looks destined to be particularly lush and, intended to “bring residents closer to Chiang Mai’s natural landscape”, the perfect place from which to soak up the serene ambience. Appreciating the importance nowadays of an online connection, WiFi internet will be distributed free of charge throughout shared parts of the condo or otherwise, residents can organise -at their own expense- to have high-speed broadband fitted.
Arranged in the form of an open quadrangle enclosing the inner courtyard, dcondo ping will accommodate a total of 687 fully furnished, air-conditioned and balconied residential units divided more or less equally between each of the four 8-storey buildings (identified as Towers A to D). Conforming thereabouts to their respective average sizes for Chiang Mai, half the complement of units will be studios comprising 30 sq m of habitable space and laid out with combined living/dining quarters, separate kitchen and single bathroom whereas the 37.5 sq m 1- and 60 sq m 2-bedroom units (each with as many bathrooms) will be entirely open-plan. Judging by the sample images of the units, interior specification and décor remains characteristic of Sansiri condos but appear even more refined, comfortable and inviting than ever.
With the development yet to begin construction, pre-sales for dcondo ping don’t open until next month (July 2017) though, such is the proven name of Sansiri and the property’s location in the heart of Chiang Mai’s latest growth centre, units will undoubtedly be snapped up off-plan in no time at all! Very much targeted at foreigners, the expected delivery date of the project is September
Currently the building is offering only certain sections of the building for foreign purchase. These prices are currently significantly higher than the resale units at Dcondo Sign and Dcondo Nim.
